This Privacy Notice is intended to conform to the Data Protection Act 2018.
Oswestry Mens Shed holds the information submitted by you when applying to join the Shed. It consists of your name, address, telephone number(s) and/or email address, the date and amount of your ongoing membership-fee payments and the dates of your attendances.
The personal information we collect is used to register you, to communicate with you and to record your membership payments and attendances. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose. We will not share your information with anyone outside the Charity, unless required to by UK law.
The member’s database is held in a password-protected computer file, where the password is known only to the Secretary and the Treasurer. Hardcopies may be stored within a physically secure building.
We will retain your information for as long as you are a member of the Shed. You may request that we delete your information at any time if you no longer wish to be a member. We will delete your information within 28 calendar days of your request to our Data Protection Officer, or within 6 months if you cease to pay the membership fee.
You can contact us to request access to the information we hold about you or to ask that we correct any inaccurate or out of date information. If you wish to raise a complaint about how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter.
